Some days Kiki likes to dress like a little witch: a white ruffled blouse, a black corset, her checked skirt with the lace hem, and the tiny top hat with a white star pinned to the side.
Little witches, she has decided, still deserve rainbows.
So she took her black lace parasol and walked out onto Rainbow Bridge, where the clouds are thick enough to stand on and the colors shimmer under your boots.
Luna followed one step behind, tail up, looking extremely proud of herself, as if the rainbow had been her idea.
Pip bobbed along beside the parasol, glowing and winking. He kept trying to land on top of it. The parasol kept tilting.
“You can ride on my hat instead,” Kiki offered. Pip considered this very seriously, then went back to trying the parasol.
Pip spotted: Right beside the lace parasol, winking.
